Senior Portrait Style Guide Part 1, For the Ladies

Senior portraits are a big deal. I know, I remember stressing to the point of tears before my own session.

It wasn’t pretty.

Thankfully it all ended up going great, and I was more than pleased with my photos. What I do wish was that I had some guidance as far as my outfit changes went. First, I had no idea I was allowed to change my clothes! Second, I was horribly unprepared.

I want to help every student preparing for the coming of age Senior Portrait Session feel comfortable in the process and how they look.

Ladies first!

How to Choose Your Senior Portrait Outfits

One of the most important things to remember is to stay true to yourself and the style of clothing you feel comfortable in. Having your photo taken can feel awkward as it is, we don’t want you feeling an extra layer of stress because you don’t feel quite right in the clothes you have on.

Here are a few of my favorite styles gathered for your viewing pleasure.

Modest

Feminine

Athletic/Sporty

I hope this helps provide some inspiration, I know you’re going to look great on your big day! Keep an eye out for part 2, outfit ideas for the senior young men out there.
